One of the earliest examples of community-based conservation, Luangwa is a collection of three spectacular and diverse nature reserves. Expansive in scale, huge swaths of savannah, Mopane and Ebony forests feature in landscapes that are ruled by seasonally flooding rivers.
Luangwa features a wide variety of large and small mammals, including a few species that are completely unique to the area, having evolved separately in the isolation of the Luangwa valley for eons!
These wonderful creatures can optionally also be witnessed on foot, as Luangwa is arguably Africa’s most rewarding walking safari destination. Whether choosing to explore by foot or less intrepid means, visitors exploring this area with us will benefit from our partnership with the conservation pioneers that operate the leading lodges in Zambia. Encompassing several discreet accommodation options, ranging from spacious thatched roof huts overlooking animal-filled riverbeds to luxurious chalets with refreshing private pools are available to incorporate into an itinerary. Each of these camps have knowledgeable individual guides engaged in partnership with ourselves for absorbing wildlife experiences.
